Up on the blog today courtesy of Cesar, New York, we have the Top Interior Design Kitchen Trends of 2019.

It is the start of a new year and for many people this means new year’s resolutions. Like many homeowners in Philadelphia, if your resolution is finally getting started on that new kitchen that you have been dreaming of for so long, then you should have a look at the below kitchen trends for 2019. The Interior Design of your kitchen is important as you are very likely to spend a few hours a day in this room.

1. Doors without handles

If you are looking for a modern and minimalist kitchen design, the best cabinet handles you could get is actually none at all. Many people are not opting to have their handles as cut-out holes in the cabinet door in various shapes and sizes. Another option is a 30 or 45 degree edge at the top of the doors.

2. Different kitchen sinks

The sink can be quite an interesting design element. There are many different options when choosing the material for your sink and trends range from stainless steel to marble to ceramic. As long as you are creative both in terms of look and the sink’s function. Possibilities include integrated pot holders, removable cutting boards or ice buckets.

3. Pendant lighting

The introduction of suspended lighting is ideal for those looking to add a unique touch to their kitchen design. The pendant bulb enclosures become centerpieces of the room – adding a form of expression and individuality. Your new lighting is most likely going to be one of the most admired parts of your new kitchen.

4. Open shelving

Open shelving in your kitchen is a concept that anyone with attractive dishware will be happy to choose, allowing you to proudly show off those beautiful items. It can also help to break the monotonous vibe of your cabinetry and can be combined with wall racks for utensils and hanging pot racks. You get dishware that is easy to access and decoration all at once.

5. Pops of color

All-white kitchens remain popular, even in 2019, but people are now also choosing to add pops of color to break away from the monotonous and monochrome scheme that has ruled the earlier years. Accent walls, accessories or backsplash motifs, the possibilities are endless. Popular colors range from dark blues to olive tones to rich creamy colors.

6. Exceptional ceramics

Another way to add some exciting features to your kitchen design is to go for highly patterned tiles. They are an absolute eye-catcher and stand in contrast to the modern, minimalist cabinets that are trending. But don’t go overboard with the tiles – use them as an accent piece on the backsplash above the stove or the side of your kitchen island.
