Up on the blog this week, we are talking about what we are seeing trend in Interior Design this Summer with our clients and how you too can add color to your Interior.  Whether you live in Philadelphia or not, it's not too late to freshen up your spaces!

On trend this Summer is the color of Fresh Fruit!  This trend is taking off in the hospitality industry as well as the residential design sector.  Juicy colors freshen the summer crop with a playful, delicious energy.

So, how can you get the look?

Paint Colors.

I am a believer that color affects people's moods. As an interior designer, I can say things with color that I can't necessarily say in any other way.  Sometimes it's as easy as putting two colors together that sing.  Color can in fact be the least expensive way to transform a space.  Paint!  That adds instant color.  Take for example this open floor plan space that has multiple accent colors applied through paint.

Bright Bathroom Colors.

Are you feeling a little timid to apply such a bold color to your interior?  Hey, it's ok to start small.  One of the easiest ways to get started is by adding some bright hues to your bathroom, most likely the smallest space in your home.  I love this example of the green compared with the cantaloupe hues.

Abstract Art.

If your minimalist side is not quite on board with crayon like colors, consider adding a bright abstract piece of art.  This is such a great way to add color in a simple, yet meaningful manner to your interior.

Add a colorful Wallpaper.

Quite the opposite of starting small with art, selecting and installing wallpaper in your home can feel overwhelming.  But, you can start small.  Select one wall as an accent wall and go for it.

Transform your space with a colorful area rug.

In need of an instant makeover in your home?  Go for a colorful area rug.  Not only will it update your space but it can also infuse style into it.  No matter what your style is, there is a rug for it.  I'm crushing on this one.  It feels colorful yet fresh.
